Who should attend? Individuals and practitioners interested in enhancing their conflict resolution skills in their personal and professional lives.
NVMS provides professional certificates in restorative justice and community conflict management, leading to opportunities to facilitate RJ conferences for the AAP/AASC programs, or to provide pro-bono community conflict resolution services. Who should attend? Community/civic leaders and advocates, career-changers, retirees, lifetime volunteers, young people taking spring, summer, or fall break from school.
Mediation certification is required for all mediators looking to accept court-referred cases in the state of Virginia. Skill-building training and mentorship will prepare you to work as a mediator within the court system. Who should attend? Individuals interested in becoming Virginia Certified Court Mediators.
Community of Practice (CoP) events provide practitioners with the opportunity to learn from others doing this work in the region. Sessions include expert panels, skill-building activities, and peer feedback opportunities. Who should attend? Conflict resolution practitioners (mediators, facilitators, restorative justice practitioners, trainers).
Conflict resolution skills are critical to building effective teams and healthy work environments. Team members learn the skills to identify, prevent, and resolve conflicts before they negatively impact the team’s performance. Programs are tailored to the needs of your team.
